The cleaning ad's earnings limits reflect Germany's Minijob threshold. According to the Minijob-Zentrale, that threshold rises automatically with the statutory minimum wage: the hourly minimum is multiplied by 130 and divided by three, with the result rounded up to the next whole euro.
The German federal government and the Minijob-Zentrale report that the minimum wage increased to 13.90 euros an hour on January 1, 2026, bringing the monthly Minijob threshold to 603 euros, up from 556 euros in 2025. On January 1, 2027, the minimum wage will rise to 14.60 euros an hour and the monthly threshold to 633 euros.
